Due to the complex nature of the aircraft that we restore we have specialised engineering capabilities including CNC, milling and turning, drafting, stress analysis, compound curve sheet metalwork, Civil Aviation Authority approved welding and full time aircraft electrician. Our painting facilities include stove enameling with our own Spray Bake booth. Our staff are familiar with all aspects of aircraft fabricing using traditional materials. All our work is carried out under Civil Aviation Authority A8-20, E2, E4 and M5 approvals. We are also currently in the process of applying for A2, manufacturing approval. |

| The above noseleg was overhauled to flying condition at our facility. We have also overhauled 4 Lancaster undercarriage legs for the same customer. Each individual part is either Magnetic Flaw Detected or Penetrant Flaw Detected to ensure there are no cracks. The parts are then treated as required, Cadmium Plated to Def Standard 03-19-1 and Anodised to Def Standard 03-24-2. Any items that fail crack testing must be re-maufactured in house and further treated. Once our engineers are satisified as to the serviceability of each part the leg is assembled with new seals and signed as airworthy under our Civil Aviation Authroity Approvals. All work undertaken is supplied with a full workpack and Certifiate of Conformity. | |||||||||||||||||||
